Welcome to Isabel PROJECT
The Isabel application is a group real time collaboration tool for the Internet, supporting advanced collaborative videoconferencing, application sharing and TV like media integration. Isabel sessions can be accessed with Linux clients or with Web clients in order to allow offering Videoconferencing as a Service (VaaS), such that conferencing on the cloud services can be offered with Isabel.
Isabel uses standard TCP-UDP/IP Internet protocols and allows efficient organisation of working procedures over the public broadband Internet, Intranets, corporate VPNs, satellite networks, etc, allowing:
- Minimization of travel or movement of persons
- Timely organization of meetings when needed
- Increase in the overall productivity of an organization
- Reduction of project and activity lead times
- A rich set of interaction modes is included, allowing the application to fit exactly the needs for a given moment: videochat between participants, presentation modes, remote questions, enhancement of a given participant,...

- The Isabel Tele-meeting service allows a fairly free way of interacting, supporting the typical interactions of a presential meeting, such as presentation, open discussions, demos, question rounds, etc.
- The Isabel Tele-class service allows a tight control of participating sites by the educator or lecturer, who decides the interactions taking place. The student or trainee must re-quest intervention to the lecturer before being allowed to participate.
- The Isabel distributed congress service provides a strict control program to be followed. The service is script driven and has centralized control to guaranty a timely delivery of the program.
- The Isabel service definition language allows an easy modification of existing services, as well as the definition of new ones.
